New Photochromic Materials
Photochromics materials are often use to fabricate googles but they can also be used in a wide range of applications from UV detectors or smart coatings. In collaboration with colleagues from Finland and Belgium, Tangui Le Bahers and Pauline Colint from LCH managed to elucidate the origin of photochromism in natural minerals (aluminosilicate family). those results open the door to a better control of the property of synthesized materials.
