PCR for determination of Mating-Type of a S. cerevisiae strain

Run PCR on genomic DNA using:

1E95: 5'-GGTAAATTACAGCAAATAGAAAAGAGC-3'

1E96: 5'-GTTAAGATAAGAACAAAGAATGATGC-3'

oligos (annealing at 50°C)

Run on a 1% gel to distinguish 1000bp product (MATa) to 1100 bp product (MATalpha)
