Offre de stage post-doctoral

Equipe d'Emiliano Ricci

A postdoctoral position is available in the "RNA metabolism in infection and immunity laboratory (http://rmi2lab.weebly.com)", under the ERC project "Riboinflam (805500)", to study the role of mRNA translation in shaping the inflammatory response. This project involves the development of new mouse models and the use of high-throughput sequencing approaches to understand the cross-talks between mRNA translation and other cellular processes occurring in the context of macrophage activation.

Applicants should hold a PhD or be near completion of a PhD in biochemistry, molecular biology or cellular biology. Knowledge in immunology and prior experience with bioinformatics are preferable.

The RMI2 team is part of the Laboratory of Biology and Modeling of the Cell (LBMC) (http://www.ens-lyon.fr/LBMC/laboratoire) at ENS-Lyon, which hosts a dozen of internationally competitive teams that investigate the molecular basis of major cellular functions, using a variety of cellular and organism experimental models and giving a strong priority to biocomputing approaches. The LBMC benefits from state-of-the-art equipment and technological facilities, either in house or on the highly dynamic research campus of Gerland (https://www.sfr-biosciences.fr).

Funding for this position is for 3 years. Starting salary will follow the Inserm's postdoctoral pay scale (starting at 2000€ of monthly net income for candidates having defended their PhD in 2019).

Do not hesitate to contact Emiliano Ricci (emiliano.ricci@ens-lyon.fr) for further information on this post. Candidates should send a cover letter, a Curriculum Vitae and contact details of two references.
