Job offer IE CDD 18 months

A position IE level (ANR funding) is available in the Chromatin dynamics and chromosome architecture team under V. Vanoosthuyse's supervision.

Short-term contract Research Assistant

18 months

A research assistant position is available to work with Vincent Vanoosthuyse in the team of Pascal Bernard at the ‘Laboratoire de Biologie et Modélisation de la Cellule (LBMC)’ at the ‘Ecole Normale Supérieure de Lyon (ENS-Lyon)’ (Lyon, France). The project will be carried out in collaboration with the teams of Philippe Pasero (IGH, Montpellier, France), Sarah Lambert (Institut Curie, Orsay, France) and Chunlong Chen (Institut Curie, Paris, France) as part of a recently funded ANR proposal (Project ReDeFine). The overall aim of the project is to better characterise the role of DNA-RNA hybrids in the response to replicative stress during cell division. The selected candidate will be tasked mainly with mapping the genomic regions that accumulate DNA-RNA hybrids upon replicative stress, using the yeasts Schizosaccharomyces pombe and Saccharomyces cerevisiae as model systems. In particular, the candidate will have (i) to optimize existing protocols to purify DNA-RNA hybrids and (ii) to prepare sequencing libraries (both DNA and RNA). Previous experience with preparing sequencing libraries would be an asset for the project, but it is not necessary. However, a strong background in molecular biology is absolutely essential.
