After the success of the Colloquium «Information and Communications Technologies: Are they Green ?» organized in Montreal during the Entretiens Jacques Cartier 2011 in October 9-10, 2011; the objectives of this colloqium "Towards ecological and energy efficient Information and Communication Technology" is to allow a large interaction between academic and industrial researchers working on different perspectives in ICT but sharing same concerns about reducing the ecological fooprint and the energy consumption of such infrastructures. Invited speakers will debate such technological and theoretical challenges from low level physical layers up to application layers. Design of electronic equipments, deployment of optical and wireless networs and recycling processes will also been debated.
