/!\ THIS IS A WORK IN A PROGRESS /!\
Overview & Goals
This Research Topic aims to guarantee Quality of Service in machine/user to machine/user communication, while using efficiently the resources of the future networks. The two problems that are tackled here are:
- dynamic bandwidth sharing and congestion control in the Future Internet
- control and flow management in semantic networks
Projects & Partners
- EU DataTAG (CERN, Caltech), RNTL eToile /VTHD++(EDF, CEA, FT R&D),
- EU AEOLUS, ANR IGTMD (LCG IN2P3 CNRS, RENATER, FermiLAB)
- Pfldnet workshop serie (steering committee chair)
- IETF (HIP), IRTF (ICCRG & TMRG), OGF Data Transport-RG (chair)
Results & Software
- Optimization algorithms for network resource-sharing in very-high-speed networks (BDTS)
- Algorithms for dynamic bandwidth provisioning based on the scheduling and aggregation of flows
- Design of a language for specifying virtual infrastructures (VXDL)
- Study on network and system virtualisation for the creation and usage of virtual private infrastructures
- Distributed algorithms for bandwidth sharing in mobile or very-high-speed environments.
