  • GETTING TO AND FROM THE CONFERENCE SITE:

BY PLANE:  Upon arrival at the Lyon Saint Exupéry Airport, you should purchase a (return) ticket, preferrably with an extra subway ticket ("le ticket métro") attached, for the SATOBUS airport shuttle (see here for timetables and additional information) at a well-marked service desk within the airport premises. The cost of the return trip, with the subway ticket (valid also for buses and trams) included, is less than 20 EUR. In no more than three quarters of an hour, the shuttle takes you directly to the city centre - la Gare de la Part-Dieu or la Gare Perrache. If you get off the shuttle at the former stop take the "ligne B" of the subway in the direction "Stade de Gerland" (the subway station can be accessed via an entrance just across the square adjacent to the bus stop, right next to the SNCF train station, le Gare de la Part-Dieu) and get off at the stop "Debourg" (the subway trip is no more than 10 minutes). Setting off from Perrache, take the bus line 32 in the direction "États-Unis/Viviani" and get off at the stop "Halle Tony Garnier". The conference site can now be reached easily by following the map that you find here.

BY TRAIN or BY BUS:  If you arrive by train or bus at la Gare de la Part-Dieu in the city centre take the subway to the ÉNS-Lyon following the directions given above. Tickets for the subway can be purchased from one of the vending machines at the station (a single ticket, "le ticket unité", costs 1.5 EUR).
