This month, PhD meeting is a mecanics one. First, Raphaël MENU will present his work in Quantum Mechanics, especialy a study of N-body quantum systems when they are put out of equilibrium : Raphaël is focusing on their relaxation and thermalisation.
Then, Lucile FAVREAU will introduce the context of her experimental study of wetting effects on tank
draining. She is interested in a water flows from a tank through an orifice set at the
tank bottom under its own weight. The hole's size is on the
order of magnitude of the capillary length. Wetting effects are
manifested in two main aspects that she will describe...
