Active and Programmable Networks

Overview

Active and Programmable Network technology bring to service provider and operators, an elegant solution for new services deployment and management. These active networks allows to apply a process on the data, during the transmission, i.e "on-the-fly". In the Active Networks area, we are involve in the "heterogeneity" and the "high dynamicity" aspects of the new Internet infrastructure. Current projects include a complete framework, called Tamanoir , that allows users and network designers to easily deploy and maintain high performance distributed active routers on a wide area network, an heterogeneous active network test-bed and the design of active reliable multicast protocols.
