``ubuntu24-cuda-psmn``, ``debian13-cuda-psmn`` and ``ubuntu24-desktop-imaging-psmn`` images require ``gpu.l4.*`` flavor. Currently, the infrastructure is equipped with 4 GPUs only. It means that only 4 VMs with GPU can run simultaneously, all projects combined. If you try to deploy a VM with the ``gpu.l4.16c64g`` flavor when all GPUs are busy, you will get an error ``No valid host was found``. Jupyter / RStudio images ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ You can chose any of the flavors to run ``jupyter-psmn`` and ``rstudio-psmn`` images. See `Connect to Jupyter VMs <./connect_to_vm.html#connect-to-jupyter-vms>`_ and `Connect to RStudio VMs <./connect_to_vm.html#connect-to-rstudio-vms>`_ to connect to the Jupyterlab interface. Bigmem / Manycores flavors ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ - ``bigmem-*`` flavors may be unavailable if too many VMs are deployed. The infrastructure currently supports a total of 4TB RAM, it means that if 2 VMs with 2TB are deployed, the flavor will be unavailable for other VMs (you will get an error ``No valid host was found``). - ``manycores.255c496g`` flavor may be unavailable if too many VMs are deployed. Only 2 VMs with 255 cores can run simultaneously, all projects combined. If you try to deploy a VM with the ``manycores.255c496g`` flavor , you will get an error ``No valid host was found``. About data ---------- On ``*-psmn`` VMs, your PSMN /home is mounted and so are your /Xnfs directories. A local working directory is available under /localdata. .. attention:: When you destroy a VM, **ALL local data is LOST**. .. hint:: All images provide a bunch of common packages, including python and apptainer. ``ubuntu24-desktop-imaging-*`` images come with pre-installed bio-imaging software, such as Fiji, Omero Insight, MorphoGraphX and more.
