Aim and Scope

The aim of the school is to bring together researchers on Complex Systems from various fields (Biology, Computer Science, Economics, Human Sciences, Mathematics, Physics) in order to present a state of the art on the subject and to create strong links between them.

Each day is dedicated to a particular field and will answer to the following questions:

Lectures will be given in English.

Location

At the École Normale Supérieure de Lyon. The ÉNS Lyon is located in Lyon, the French gastronomic capital (thus World gastronomic capital ;-)). You will enjoy here the best meals in France (thus in the world ;-)). Besides its own tourisitic attractions (Place Bellecour, the Fourvière Cathedral, its Roman amphitheater, The old Lyon in St Jean, lots of museums...), Lyon is 2h train away from Paris, 2h train from the Alpes, the French mountains, 1h30 train from the French Rivierra and its Mediterranean sea, which makes it a central place in France and Europe.

Airport: Lyon Saint-Exupéry Airport (LYS)
Train: Take the TGV to "Lyon Part-Dieu" station.
Subway: From "Lyon Part-Dieu", take the subway to "Stade de Gerland" and exit at stop "Debourg". A three minutes walk gets you to the ÉNS Lyon.

How to get to the École Normale Supérieure de Lyon?

Accomodation

You may also find a non-exhaustive list of hotels here.

NEW! We have reserved some shared twin hotel rooms for the participants very close to the school location at a special rate 30€/weekday and 25€/weekendday per participant (this hotel very close to the ÉNS Lyon - you can get more informations on http://www.ibishotel.fr/, the hotel code is 0477).
For details and reservation, please contact: Anne-Pascale Botonnet.
