How can the concept of the topology of electronic waves (quantum) also spread to the topology of the (classical) electromagnetic waves in photonics? Instead of the motion of electrons in a lattice, the electromagnetic waves propagate in a lattice created by evanescently coupled waveguide arrays. Under the specific condition, this mapping holds, and that enables us to explore topological phenomena in classical photonics.
