With the demonstration of fusion ignition at NIFS, new records during the JET deuterium-tritium campaign, delays in the construction of ITER and the bloom of fusion startups, the fusion related news has been very rich in the last years.
This presentation will give an overview of the breadth of physics challenges involved in the development of a fusion power plant and will attempt to provide the basis to put these fusion news into context.
