In this talk, we will begin by exploring the fundamental properties of moist convection, focusing on the factors that determine vertical velocities in clouds. To address this, we will examine results from sensitivity tests in an idealized model. Following that, we will delve into the physical processes driving the spatial organization of moist convection into large-scale storms.
