Effective Description of (Quantum) Black Holes
Abstract: In this talk, I propose an effective description of spherically symmetric and static black holes that are deformations of the Schwarzschild geometry, which is a solution of classical General Relativity. Inspired by linear response theory, organising these descriptions as perturbative expansions, I introduce a formalism that allows to express first order corrections of observables relative to the Schwarzschild black hole anywhere outside of the horizon. I provide explicit expressions using as deformation an eigenvalue of the Einstein tensor, which can be linked to effective physics by identifying it with the energy momentum tensor. I show, how a systematic analysis of different observables, allows to establish non-trivial conditions for the latter.
