Alexandre Poye - Game ladder simulations
The smart-phone gaming development introduces a new dimension for the
game developers : the ladder management.
This ladder participatesstrongly to keep the players into the game and must be refined to
provide the fairest/catchiest gaming experience.
This present work do not investigate the rating system as GLICKO or ELO:
it includes those systems to make ladder simulations. The game is
modeled by 3 simple variables which can be tuned easily.
The result can give predictions about some ladder system modifications.
It can help identifying the important parameters or designing a ladder
system that suits to the game population.
In other words: How could I win despite my poor game skill ?
