Drosophilids
The lab has been using Drosophila melanogaster as main model organism for the past twenty years. We keep a collection of about 400 strains.
Several projects also use the sister species Drosophila simulans to study genetic conflicts in the male germline or Wolbachia-mediated Cytoplasmic Incompatibility.
We are also using additional non-melanogaster species for various projects.
