Pflaumenkuchen (plum pie)
(thank you Julie !)
Ingredients:
400g of wheat flour
20g of baker yeast (the real one, alive)
160g of milk (almond milk is what Julie uses)
60g of honey
50g of melted butter
1 egg
1kg of plums
2tea spoons of brown sugar
For the crumble topping:
80g of wheat flour
100g of butter
80g sugar
80g of mixed xxx flakes
100g of mashed walnuts
cinnamon (or not if you don't like it)
Prepare the pie dough:
Mix wheat with yeast and honey. Add salt, butter and the egg and work this dough.
Let it rest under a napkin in a warm place (about 30degC of course!) for 30 minutes
Prepare topping:
Mix the dry ingredients and then add the butter, mix with your hands to obtain a crumble.
Heat the oven at 200degC
Flat the dough to obtain a rectangle. Spread the crumble on top of it. Bake for 25minutes.
Julie served it warm, with creme chantilly on top of it... Nearly killed us all!
