PhD in Biology (M/F) : Adapative mechanisms in fluctuating environments

A three-year PhD position is open in the team "Genetic complexity of living systems" at ENS Lyon (Laboratory of Biology and Modeling of the Cell) to study fundamental processes that drive the evolution of gene expression regulation and noise in fluctuating environments. The PhD candidate will set up a powerful experimental system in the yeast S. cerevisiae allowing to manipulate independently the mutational input and the selection regime. The project will also involve quantitative analysis of data generated by flow cytometry and high-throughput RNA/DNA sequencing.
