In this work, we propose a spatio-temporal Gaussian stochastic model of turbulence, which
we compare with direct simulations of the Navier-Stokes equations. Within a statistically
stationary, homogeneous and isotropic framework, we specify the spatial structure of the field
and let the Fourier modes evolve via stochastic differential equations. We then study the
statistical properties of the resulting Lagrangian trajectories and compare the results
with turbulence experiments. In parallel, I continued the work begun during my M2
internship on particle transport in the ocean, where stratification constrains transport.
