We present our experiments aiming at interfacing a macroscopic mechanical oscillator to a single quantum system, in the form of a single electronic spin in a diamond Nitrogen Vacancy defect attached at the vibrating extremity of a Silicon nanowire. To couple the spin and mechanical degrees of freedom, the system is immersed in a strong magnetic field gradient, which renders the spin state position dependent. We will explain the coupled dynamics of the hybrid system and explain how the spin qubit can be dressed by the phonon field, permitting the observation of a phononic Mollow triplet.
