Dynamic Nuclear Polarization Surface Enhanced NMR Spectroscopy.
Alexandre Zagdoun

One of the main focus of modern chemistry is the design of efficient functional materials for catalysis, gas storage, or purification to name but a few of their numerous applications.

Establishing structure-activity relationships is a key step in the controlled design of such materials, but probing the molecular structure of the active sites remains difficult. NMR would be the technique of choice for such studies but often remains limited by is sensitivity. We will see here how dynamic nuclear polarization can be employed to overcome such difficulties.
