Flows mixing grains with fluid, called immersed granular flows, are of huge interest in a lot of industrial processes. Among the numerical method used to simulate these flows hybrid multiscale models are computationally convenient while giving insight on grain features like trajectories or contact forces. However this kind of model has only been used to simulate the interaction of one fluid with grains. It is though possible to consider variable density and viscosity to represent two fluids interacting with grains. A continuous phase indicator function is used at each computational node to weigh the densities and viscosities of the two continuous phases and is advected using the continuous velocity field.  This model is then used to simulate gaz injection in immersed granular beds.
