There are two possibilities to enter the Master 1:
- Most students enter the M1 by continuing on following the L3 year of the Physics & Chemistry programme
- Admissions at the M1 level is open to students who have completed the L3 of a university degree in France or abroad, or an equivalent course. It is possible to apply for :
- either the National Master's Degree in Material Sciences, co-accredited by the two institutions ENS Lyon and Université Claude Bernard Lyon 1 (Master's student)
- or to the National Master's Degree in Material Sciences, co-accredited by the two establishments ENS de Lyon and Université Claude Bernard Lyon 1, coupled with the ENS de Lyon's Diplôme d'Etablissement (Normalien-Student)
The application files submitted by the candidates are examined by a joint ENS-UCBL admissions committee.
Both admission paths are possible in parallel.
