Fluid dynamics and Turbulence

► Stochastic models, non-Gaussianities, Fractal processes, Navier-Stokes simulations

We aim to develop advanced models based on weakly nonlinear stochastic equations, capable of accurately reproducing, with only a few free parameters, the key features of fluctuations in fully developed fluid turbulence, including non-Gaussian behaviors. Our goal is to shed light on fundamental aspects of fluid dynamics and the physics of the Navier–Stokes equations.

Theory of Elasticity

► Elastic charges, Singularities, Morphing, Mechanical response of  of elastic sheets, Crumpling, Fractures

We focus on developing novel approaches to elastic singularities, termed "elastic charges." Our goal is to investigate the nonlinear elastic response of materials near these singularities and to understand how they influence the morphing and mechanical behavior of thin elastic sheets and membranes. This research aims to uncover the fundamental mechanisms underlying realistic physical processes such as crumpling and fracture.
