M2 - Admission for European Students

The various M2 course programmes within the Physics & Chemistry Master's training can be entered either directly via submission of an academic dossier or following completion of the first year of the Physics & Chemistry Master's programme.

 There are two ways to enter the Master 2:

•    Most students enter the M2 course programmes after completing the Physics & Chemistry M1. 

•    One can apply to enter any M2 course programme after validating one year of master's level instruction (M1) within another master's programme or a training programme deemed to be of equivalent level.

Applications should be submitted online through the CADENS website: CADENS : https://cadens.ens-lyon.fr starting May 2nd and before June 14th 2024 at 5 pm (Paris time).

The final admission commitee takes place on July 11th 2024, and results will be available soon after. All the information concerning the application procedure is on the institutional website...

On CADENS you must choose the 'Physics & Chemistry' option to apply to Sciences de la Matière Master Program. All the information concerning the application procedure is on the institutional website...

The documents required for the application are specified in the CADENS application. Please note that confidential assessments with the opinions of two referres will be required to be completed online by the two recommenders.
