Entrance paths and student status at ENS Lyon
The various paths to entering the Physics & Chemistry training programme result in varying student statuses.
Admissions via entrance exam and via application
The Physics & Chemistry training programme is accessible via a competitive public entrance examination or via application, at each level of the programme: L3, M1 and M2.
L3 - Admission for European students
Entering the Physics & Chemistry training programme during the L3 year is possible both through competitive examination (first and second competitive examinations of the ENS Lyon) and by application.
M1 - Admission for European Students
The Master in Physics & Chemistry is accessible either directly by examination of the academic file, or after the year of preparation at L3 level of the Physics & Chemistry program.
M2 - Admission for European Students
The various M2 course programmes within the Physics & Chemistry Master's training can be entered either directly via submission of an academic dossier or following completion of the first year of the Physics & Chemistry Master's programme.
