(Hors problèmes de sécurité,) le personnel du PSMN est en congés à partir de ce midi.

• General scratches (/scratch/Lake, /scratch/Bio, /scratch/Chimie, /scratch/Cascade) are not regularly cleaned. It is your task to clean after your jobs. Scratches perfomances are degrading because of that,
• We are using “powersave” mode on our clusters, to save our cooling system,
• ssh agent and keys will become mandatory (soon, september 2026) to login on ssh gateways.

Same-same, everything is in powersave mode so we don't burn.

Edit: Clusters will stay in powersave until further notice (end of canicule).

Hydrate yourself.

Due to the heat wave (or crâmicule), we are experiencing high stress on our cooling system. We had to reduce CPU frequency for the night.

We may have to do the same thing (reduce CPU frequencies), from time to time, the next days (weeks?).

[PS: act like a vampire, stay in the shadows, put 50+ SPF and hydrate]

• providing a ssh public key is now mandatory for account creation,
• passwords will (soon) become unnecessary,
• ssh agent and keys will become mandatory (soon, september 2026) to login on ssh gateways.
