Genetics of paternal effects
We study a rare class of Drosophila paternal effect mutants that affect the integration of paternal chromosomes in the zygote.
We have recently characterized the paternal loss (pal) mutant, which induces the sporadic loss of paternal chromosomes after fertilization.
