Biologist

On November 29, 2012, Olivier Hamant, biologist at the Plant Development and Reproduction Laboratory (RDP), received the 2012 INRA Young Researcher Award.

Olivier Hamant has worked extensively at the international level and published over twenty scientific papers. He enjoys teaching part-time and writing scientific reviews as a way to share his research with other specialists and the general public alike.

François Houllier, INRA President and CEO opened the seventh INRA Awards' ceremony, hosted by David Lowe in Paris in the presence of Geneviève Fioraso, Minister of Higher Education and Research, Stéphane Le Foll, Minister of Agriculture, Food and Forestry, Michel Eddi, INRA Deputy Director General, in charge of Research Support Services and Frédéric Dardel, Université Paris V Descartes, President of the Scientific Advisory Board of INRA and of the INRA Awards jury.
