Recipient of the Jaffe Prize last June, Sergio Ciliberto is now receiving the EPS Prize for his research work as a whole.

Sergio CilibertoThe EPS Statistical and Nonlinear Physics Prize is a biannual award by the European Physical Society (EPS) given since 2017. Its aim is to recognize outstanding research contributions in the area of statistical physics, nonlinear physics, complex systems, and complex networks.

The prize can be shared by up to 3 people. The prize consists of a medal and a cash sum. Prize winners can be of any nationality. This year, Sergio Ciliberto will share the prize with Satya Majumdar (LPTMS) who recently started teaching at the Master 2 "Sciences de la matière" at ENS de Lyon.

Prizes will be awarded at the 2nd EPS-SNPD conference in Stockholm May 7-11, 2019.
