The first graduation ceremony of ENS de Lyon will take place on May 7, 2022.

We will be pleased to celebrate the success of the Class of 2021 graduates, along with their families and teachers. Unfortunately, the pandemic and subsequent lockdowns did not allow us to hold the originally scheduled ceremonies for the classes of 2019 and 2020.

The 4-year diploma of ENS de Lyon is the common framework of the “nomalien” education: an academic training of excellence, through research, based on multidisciplinarity and internationalization, as well as on individualized courses and a very sustained supervision. The ENS de Lyon diploma is equivalent to a Master's degree.

Normaliens of the 2021 Class are expected at the Mérieux amphitheater to celebrate in a joyful and pleasant atmosphere - but with the solemnity that is due! - their graduation from ENS de Lyon. This will be the moment to show - in pictures and words - what this excellent academic training consists of, a training through research, based on multidisciplinarity and internationalization, as well as on the individualization of the courses and a very sustained supervision.

The ceremony will take place in two stages to welcome the graduates, their guests and the School's teachers:

  • In the morning, at 10:30 a.m., students from the Computer Science; Foreign Languages, Literatures and Civilizations Department; Mathematics; Physics and Humanities departments will take the stage.
  • In the afternoon, at 3:30 p.m., it's time for the Biology; Chemistry; Arts and Literature; Social Sciences and Earth Sciences departments.

Gowns, music with brass instruments, ribbons and sashes, graduation photos... the ceremony will be solemn and colorful.

In between, from 11:30 am to 3:30 pm, the graduates will be able to come and get their diploma, which is worth the grade of master.

The day will end, as it should, with a cocktail.
For those who have not yet done so, do not hesitate to register from the invitation email you received.

Graduates of the 2021 Class and teacher-researchers, meet on Saturday, May 7 at the Mérieux amphitheater for a great day of celebration and reunion.
