As part of the PROSFER program, ENS de Lyon welcomed French and Chinese partners to select joint-supervised doctoral students and discuss upcoming academic exchanges. The meeting also provided an opportunity to review prospects for scientific cooperation, particularly within the framework of the JoRISS program.
On March 3, 2026, some thirty participants gathered for the PROSFER program jury meeting, including a delegation of nine representatives from East China Normal University (ECNU). This meeting took place within the framework of the Sino-French PROSFER program (Program of Sino-French Education for Research), born out of academic cooperation between ECNU in Shanghai and several French institutions: the École normale supérieure de Lyon (program coordinator), Université Claude Bernard Lyon 1, Université Lumière Lyon 2, and Université Jean Moulin Lyon 3.
This session provided an opportunity to review the upcoming milestones of the PROSFER program and to select joint-supervised doctoral students in various disciplines. At the conclusion of the committee meeting, five doctoral students were selected, representing the fields of Computer Science, History, Sports, Philosophy, and Chemistry/Physics.
The meeting also provided an opportunity to discuss upcoming student exchange programs. Ten Master's students are expected to arrive in Lyon this fall as part of the PROSFER program, in the following fields: Biology, Education, Sociology, Philosophy, and Sports. These exchange programs help strengthen academic exchanges and promote the internationalization of degree programs.
A JoRISS update was also provided at the end of the session with the relevant partners.
