The Mechanical Engineering Department is operated by a manager and three agents (2 CNRS staff and 2 ENS de Lyon staff). Its mission is to design and build experimental devices that do not exist on the market, for the various laboratories and teaching departments of ENS de Lyon.  This can range from a simple component to a complete apparatus.
