The department of international affairs welcomed Prof. ZHOU Yunxuan, the new director of the department of foreign cooperation at East China Normal University (ECNU), during an official visit to Lyon from September 14 to 16, 2016.
The visit was also an opportunity for Prof. ZHOU to represent ECNU at the inauguration of the New Franco-Chinese Institute of Lyon (September 15, 2016), of which ECNU is a partner. He also met with various officials of the ENS de Lyon to gain a better understanding of the school and existing cooperation, notably via the Prosfer-Joriss programmes. New bilateral cooperation prospects were discussed. Prof. ZHOU also got to meet the ECNU’s doctoral students currently in Lyon.
Prof. ZHOU is a specialist in the fields of remote sensing and geographic information systems at the State key laboratory of Estuarine and Costal Research, one of the cutting-edge laboratories at ECNU.
