The CNRS awards François Leulier, Director of the IGFL, the silver medal and Lucie Étienne, a researcher at CIRI, and three alumni of our school, the bronze medal.
On Thursday February 15, the CNRS announced its 2024 silver and bronze medalists. 25 researcher has been awarded the silver medal, 48 the bronze.
Silver for national and international recognition
In 2024, François Leulier, CNRS Research Director and Director of the Institute of Functional genomics of Lyon (IGFL), is one of the recipients of the CNRS silver medal. This award recognises researchers for the originality, quality and importance of a body of work that is recognised nationally and internationally.
A biologist specializing in microbiota, François Leulier had previously been awarded the CNRS bronze medal in 2013.
Bronze in recognition of already successful ongoing research
Lucie Étienne, infectiologist, CNRS research director at CIRI, is one of the 2024 winners of the CNRS bronze medal. With this award, rewards researchers in the early stages of their career whose work has established them as specialists in their field.
Three alumni of our school are also 2024 laureates:
