    Overview

The Master's degree in European and International Studies aims to train through research in social sciences, in an approach of areal studies, specialists in contemporary issues from three major regional areas: East Asia (China, Japan, Korea and South-East Asia); Europe; the North Africa and Middle East region. These three regional areas are considered as much in their own dynamics as in the recompositions of a globalized world. In addition to research methods in the social sciences and in-depth study in real studies, the specialization is also based on the mastery at a high level of languages of the regional area studied.

The European Studies course is dedicated to the study of Europe from a global international perspective. It  is centered on Europe as a regional area marked by tensions and uncertainties and facing increasing globalization; in this sense, Europe is not reduced to the European Union. The course aims to understand the specific dynamics of Europe and the interactions maintained with other regional areas in an interdisciplinary framework that relies on the approach and contributions of research, particularly in geography, economics and history.

At the end of this course, the students received a training required by research in the social sciences to understand the challenges of the European regional area in a global perspective leading to the research professions, but also to those of the senior public administration and European and international diplomacy.
