ECO-4204 : Econometrics 3

This class deals with the problem of endogeneity and its remedies, focusing on the workhorse methods of causal inference, that form the basic toolbox of the modern applied econometrician. We will start with a detailed discussion of endogeneity, before reviewing the Instrumental Variables method and its properties. We will then move on to the potential outcomes framework, the new lingua franca of policy evaluation. This framework will then be used to discuss difference-in-differences and Regression Discontinuity Design.
