SCSO4140 : Politiques des migrations

Migrations have become a major topic of public policy and debate: border control, refugee protection, access to the labour market for foreigners… This course aims at providing factual information and theoretical reflection on how migration policies are shaped and transformed in different contexts, how they are implemented and how they evolve. Building on empirical studies in the social science and direct testimonies of guest speakers, the course will examine the role of a variety of actors, from the international to the local level, including institutional actors as well as grass-root organisations and migrants themselves.
