January 1, 2022, Patrick Flandrin was appointed to the rank of Knight in the National Order of the Legion of Honor.

The ceremony of reception of the Legion of Honor was held Tuesday, June 21, 2022, at the Academy of Sciences.

Patrick Flandrin received the distinction from Odile Macchi, physicist and mathematician, member of the Academy of Sciences.

CNRS research director at LPENSL, Patrick Flandrin is a specialist in signal processing. In 2010, he received the CNRS silver medal and became a member of the French Academy of Sciences, where he was elected vice-president in 2019-2020 and then became president in 2021-2022.
