The Limagrain Prize honors the career of French researchers who have carried out most of their work in the service of French agriculture.

The Limagrain Prize, awarded each year by the Academy of Agriculture of France, rewards a career as a French researcher or who has carried out most of his work in favor of French agriculture, and whose work is part of disciplines such as seed activity, artificial intelligence, selection, seed quality, seed production, etc.

Thomas Widiez, INRAE Research Director at the Plant Reproduction and Development Laboratory, was awarded for his work on seed development and the identification of the gene responsible for the induction of haploid embryos in maize.
