I have completed 5 years of Integrated BS-MS from Indian Institute of Science Education and Research, Kolkata, India. The first two years of my undergraduate studies were intense introductory courses in Science which cover different subjects and area of research. After this, I realized my interest in the field of theoretical chemistry and started selecting courses from physical chemistry, physics, math and computational science. As a part of my BS-MS degree I completed my master thesis on “Theoretical Studies of Gas Surface Reactions”, wherein half of my masters thesis work was carried out at Leiden Institute of Chemistry, Leiden, Netherlands as a visiting student, and the remaining half at my home Institute. I am a recipient of the National Initiative of Undergraduate Science (NIUS) 2009 fellowship awarded by Homi Bhabha Atomic Center for Science Education and Research, Mumbai, India and also a recipient of Inspire fellowship (for 5 years) provided by Government of India. I have represented India at the third Asian Science Camp-2009 held in Tsukuba, Japan and the Lindau Nobel Laureate Meeting – 2013, Germany where we got an opportunity to interact with Nobel Laureates. During my studies I was also able to work in various interdisciplinary research projects and able to convert several of these works as publications in reputed international journals.
