The conference was launched with a training session at the Chemistry Department, consisting of an introduction to paramagnetic NMR, and of tutorials on solid-state NMR.The conference participants were able to visit the Grey Group Laboratory.
The scientific conference then started in the afternoon at Corpus Christi College, with research talks on experimental and theoretical techniques, challenges, and applications of Paramagnetic Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) to a wide range of materials.
……and ended with a lively wine and cheese tasting. |
Research talks continued on the second day.
At the end of the afternoon, networking opportunities arose during the poster session.
The day concluded under Corpus Christi College previous Masters’ portraits in the new gothic style beautiful dining room.
On day 3, talks were directed towards the industrial applications of NMR.
6th forms students were invited to attend the conference at Corpus Christi College. They also visited the Grey Group Laboratory, where they were given demonstrations on batteries.
On day 4, PhD Students attended a tutorial on scientific paper writing given by the Royal Society of Chemistry, at the Chemistry Department. |
