Over the last decade, world news presented in Europe has particularly highlighted migration issues. In this context, we believe that critical and impartial analysis of a subject involving many stakeholders in various fields, is essential. Extensive scientific work has been carried out on this topic since the ‘70s, within the field of migration studies, where approaches diversify with, in particular, a shift in the analysis of immigrants, viewed through the prism of what they mirror in the host society – to that of the migrant in a broader sense.
