It's become a tradition at ENS de Lyon: on the initiative of the Lyon Institute of East Asian Studies (Institut d'Asie Orientale - IAO), the school's students and staff are invited to celebrate the Lunar New Year. An opportunity to discover Asian culture during a themed evening.

In 2024, the Lunar New Year is under the sign of the dragon. Join us on February 13 at 6pm at the Kantor Theatre.

Evening program

• 5:45pm: Public welcome
• 6:00 pm: Opening of the Lunar New Year, welcome by Béatrice Jaluzot (IAO director) 
• 6:15pm: "Exile, desert and martial arts": introduction by Laurent Chircop-Reyes (lecturer in Chinese studies, Université Bordeaux Montaigne, D2IA).
• 6:45pm: Screening of King Hu's film Dragon Inn [Lóngmén kèzhàn 龍門客棧]. Running time: 111 min (1967).
