China: a key academic and scientific partner for ENS de Lyon.

The relationship between ENS de Lyon and China has been running for more than 20 years. During this time different kinds of partnerships and collaborations have been built whether in student exchanges, co-publications or teacher mobilities.
Thus, ENS de Lyon was able to create and strengthen ties with many Chinese universities.

Main projects and programmes

JoRISS program

The Joint Research Institute for Science and Society (JoRISS) was created in 2010 by ENS de lyon, CNRS and ECNU. It is also supported by the partnership between Shanghai and the Auvergne Rhône Alpes region in France.
PRoSFER program

ProSFER (Program of Sino-French Education for Research) is a program subsidized by the Auvergne Rhône Alpes region that was created in 2002 and has been coordinated, on the French side, by ENS de Lyon since 2010.
Program LIA Post-Western Sociology

A strong scientific collaboration between China and France has been ongoing since 2006, driven by the partnership between the CNRS and the CASS.
Programs in Green Chemistry

The ENS de Lyon is currently collaborating with several Chinese partners on two green chemistry programs.
