Moving from the 130th to the 111th place, ENS de Lyon confirms its 5th place among the French Universities for the fourth year. This progression at the world level is also confirmed by the results in the rankings by subjects:
- Geology/Geophysics: 4th (France)
- Earth sciences: 5th (France)
- Mathematics: 6th (France)
The QS World University Ranking in an annual publication of university rankings by the British company Quacquarelli Symonds. Along with the Times and Shanghai rankings, it is one of the three most renowned worldwide rankings.
The QS rankings employ six performance indicators to assess a university's strengths in research, teaching, employability and internationalisation.
