Biography 

DrYuki Yokokura holds a Ph.D. in Science from Kyoto University, he defended his dissertation titled “A Self-consistent Model of Black Hole Evaporation and Entropy in Gravity.” in 2014. He also received his M.Sc. and B.Sc. in Physics from Kyoto University.
Currently a Senior Research Scientist at iTHEMS, RIKEN, Dr. Yuki Yokokura has held previous positions as a Special Postdoctoral Researcher at RIKEN, a postdoctoral fellow at ICTS-TIFR in India, and a research fellow at the Yukawa Institute for Theoretical Physics. 

Collaboration with physics laboratory

Professor Yokokura’s visit is crucial to strengthening scientific collaboration on the theoretical physics of black holes, particularly their thermodynamic properties in general relativity and quantum effects related to gravity. As an expert in quantum field theory in curved spacetime, he will contribute his expertise to develop an innovative formalism for modeling black holes coupled with quantum fields within modified gravity theories.
His expertise will foster interdisciplinary exchanges within the laboratory, especially among researchers working on classical and quantum gravity, relativistic thermodynamics, and statistical physics in curved spaces. In addition to his research activities, he will offer a series of advanced-level courses for graduate students, creating new project opportunities and collaborations, notably with RIKEN in Japan, thereby strengthening international ties.
