Project

Field: NMR spectroscopy

Research: A Pan-European Solid-State NMR Infrastructure to Facilitate Access for Chemistry

PANACEA is a European research project under the Horizon 2020 program, selected through the call “Integration of Activities for Starting Communities, INFRAIA-02-2020.” It brings together 12 partners: the National Center for Scientific Research (Lyon and Orléans, France; coordinators); the University of Warwick (United Kingdom); Consorzio Interuniversitario Risonanze Magnetiche di Metallo Proteine (Florence, Italy); Stichting Katholieke Universiteit (Nijmegen, Netherlands); Aarhus University (Denmark); University of Aveiro (Portugal); University of Gothenburg (Sweden); Florida State University (Tallahassee, United States); Bruker Biospin GMBG (Rheinstetten, Germany); Mestrelab (Santiago de Compostela, Spain); Weizmann Institute of Science (Rehovot, Israel); École Polytechnique Fédérale (Lausanne, Switzerland).

The project aims to provide a set of effective cryptographic tools, primarily based on Euclidean lattices, to enable privacy protection in a post-quantum world. The goal is, in particular, to provide effective solutions for anonymous authentication mechanisms for various practical applications, such as payment systems and electronic voting.

Max H2020 Funding

€4,998,890.75

Duration

From September 2021 to August 2025

Horizon 2020

Horizon 2020 is the biggest EU Research and Innovation program ever with nearly €80 billion of funding available over 7 years (2014 to 2020) – in addition to the private investment that this money will attract. It promises more breakthroughs, discoveries and world-firsts by taking great ideas from the lab to the market.
