As each year, ENS de Lyon and the Institute of East Asian Studies (IAO in French) will celebrate the new lunar year 農曆新年, which falls this year under the sign of the Rooster.
Program:
- 5 p.m.: conference-debate by François Thierry author of "The ruin of Qin: Ascent, triumph and death of the first emperor of China", published by Vuibert, 2013 and Romain Graziani, professor at the ENS de Lyon.
François Thierry is a specialist in political and social history in ancient China and curator in charge of oriental currencies at the Department of Currency and Medals of the National Library of France. - 6:15 p.m. -9 p.m.: projection of the film "The Emperor and the Assassin", by Chen Kaige (1998), in its original language.
Entrance open to everyone subject to seat availability.
